Missions

My first foreign mission trip was to Poland in November 1995. There we helped the Baptist Union organize outreach efforts.

In June 2001, I joined a mission team to the Ukraine. We visited several orphanages, and I also served in medical clinics held in outlying villages. This trip provided my first opportunity to use a Creation Evangelism approach while preaching. We also delivered medical supplies to a local children’s hospital where I spoke to the medical staff. Answers in Genesis provided materials in Russian for distribution to the doctors and nurses. Our visit attracted the attention of a local TV crew, who broadcast news of our visit to the entire region.

In August 2003, my entire family went to Jamaica to assist Mack and Marilyn Locklear, long time church planters in that country. That week gave me the opportunity to learn from two of the most godly people I have ever known. They are genuine heroes of the faith.

In September 2008, my wife and I spent two weeks in Saipan as part of the first Answers WorldWide Medical Outreach. We conducted medical clinics on the island during the day and held teaching sessions each night.

I pray that the Lord has more mission opportunities for me in the future.
